If you are in Brussels, don’t miss the Cinquantenaire park, a true haven of peace in the heart of the Belgian capital. This emblematic park, created in 1880 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Belgium’s independence, offers a perfect getaway between nature and history.

About 3 km from the center of Brussels, we chose to cover the distance by electric bike, making the experience even more pleasant and fluid.

The park is an invitation to a walk, with its vast lawns, well-kept gardens and majestic trees. But it is also a place steeped in history. You will find the majestic Cinquantenaire Triumphal Arch, which overlooks the park and offers a breathtaking view of Brussels.

In addition, the park hosts several museums, including the Royal Museum of the Army and Military History, Autoworld (an automotive museum) and the Art & History Museum. These institutions will allow you to dive into Belgian and international history.

Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast, or simply looking for a place to have a picnic, the Parc du Cinquantenaire is a must.
